Celebrities and their Dachshunds are often missed on web sites and in books alike.

Here are some of the most recognizable celebs and other well known people from around the world and the name of their dogs. Although I have not got them all. So if you know of any dog names or other celebs, just me a quick note to: bbrennert@shaw.ca.
This is a picture of E. B. White, well known writer (Charlottes Web) and his companion Minnie, one of three Dachshunds he had.
LONI ANDERSON Television Actress, know for the TV program WKRP. She has a sizeable collection of Dachshund figurines that she inherited from her mother.
MATTHEW ARNOLD Victorian British poet. Geist and others. He wrote a poem titled "Geist's Grave" about Geist after the dog passed away.

GARY BURGHOFF Actor who played Radar O'Reilley in the movie and TV series M*A*S*H. At one time he had 5 Dachshunds!

In one comic strip, Oscar, the wiener dog crawls into Brandy's shirt while she trying to demonstrate how to properly hold a dachshund. It was censored. Deemed too sexy for children. Here's another censored comic strip.

Further proof that it's a dog's life ... George Stephanopoulos was tossed out of a Barnes & Noble store in D.C. after his pet dogs made too much of a ruckus in the magazine section, the Washington Post reports. "I was in the periodical section reading Lewis Lapham in Harper's, and Gilbert [his dachshund] wanted to go over to check out the bestsellers," Stephanopoulos tells the paper. "It was all over in a minute and a half. I was asked to leave and I left." Ruff day.
