It never ceases to amaze me as to how many children's books I find telling stories about this Dachshund or that Dachshund. Lengthy by Sid HoffAnd just how many of those poke fun a how long our favorite dog is. This one by Sid Hoff might just take the long dog thing a bit to far.

But how about a real book featuring a Dachshund? Well then try The Serpents Trail: A Maxie and Stretch Mystery by Sue Henry. The dogs name is Stretch. Go figger.

I wonder why there is no newsgroup for Dachshunds?
alt.pets.dogs shows 10 groups, non of the them Dachshund related. Just sad.

Have you seen the Tin Can Dachshund yet? They've been appearing at Nic-Knack stores everywhere. I've seen them in Canada and the US. They're hand made and they all look pretty much the same. It's a girl Doxie called Schatzie and she sports a neck charm of her boyfriend Spike a Bull Terrier. I'm assuming made by the same people. By the way, I have one in my Doxie Nic-Knack collection!
