Dachshunds appeared in art from all periods. This woodcutting print from 1560AD shows Dachshunds type short legged dogs with men. This portrait of Dachshund with Owner by Gerda Wegener comes from 1912. Not in my backyard!

Showing a bit of favoritism, I have
to say that I really like the Art of Matt Rinard. I first bought
a print of his in New Orleans in 2000 (it can be found
inside).
