Did you know... A stray Dachshund named Owney traveled the world? As an unofficial mascot of the US Postal Service, Owney was "mailed" from state to state (by way of mail wagon) and in 1895 he was even put on a Steamer for an ocean voyage. When he returned from his travels 132 days later the people in Tacoma Washington gave him a hero's welcome.
